When to ride
Thailand has three seasons, and they directly affect riding.
Cool season (Nov - Feb)
The most comfortable time to ride, and when the Red Lotus Sea blooms (Dec - Feb). Longer trips are easiest now.
Hot season (Mar - May)
Very hot. Ride in the morning or evening, carry water, wear sunglasses and rest in the shade.
Rainy season (Jun - Oct)
Frequent rain and slippery roads. Slow down, carry a rain jacket, and avoid long rides in heavy rain.
